PM Modi stated that the verdict has strengthened the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” highlighting the unity and commitment to good governance that define the nation.
PM Modi acknowledged the breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh but expressed regret over the violence and instability that plagued the regions for seven decades. The historic decision on August 5, 2019, marked a turning point, paving the way for significant changes in the region. Despite the Supreme Court’s recent verdict, the people’s court had already given a thumbs up to Parliament’s decision over the past four years, witnessing a wave of development across Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.
