MSME units should take benefits of Govt schemes: Shri. Nitin Gadkari

To implement the schemes of Ministry of MSME on large scale in Vidarbha the Union minister Road Transport and MSME Nitin Gadkari recently called P M Parlewar Director MSME-DI Nagpur to take the stock of implementation of various schemes.
The Minister was informed about the various development schemes being implemented by MSME-DI Nagpur and the future planning about upcoming projects taken up for development. The Minister discussed to develop orange processing cluster in Nagpur. It was also discussed to have MSME tower in Nagpur where the all offices of ministry like MSME-DI, KVIC, NSIC can be accommodated and they can work in collaboration with each other for effective implementation of schemes of ministry.
The Minister was also informed about the various success stories which can be showcased for the benefit of others. Gadkari said that the recent development in infrastructure in Nagpur made it possible for the industries to come up on large scale and now the new and existing enterprises should take the benefit of schemes of Central and State Government. It was also informed that the MSME-DI Nagpur in collaboration with GIZ Germany implementing the project of Innovation in Vidarbha and also in rest of Maharashtra.
Under this project the problems faced by industries in manufacturing process are identified and given to the students of various Engineering colleges who under the mentorship of their professors provides solution of the problems. This is a unique method of implementing Innovation in MSME sector in which Industry-Institute network is strengthened.
The development of clusters in SEZ was also a point of discussion in which an Agarbatti cluster in MIHAN SEZ Nagpur with the scheme of flatted factory complex and common facility center is being conceptualized and the concept note is being sent to the ministry for formal approval. This cluster will be 100 per cent export oriented which will provide duel benefit to the micro small enterprises i.e. the cluster scheme of ministry of MSME and SEZ scheme of ministry of commerce.
MSMEs are second largest employment providing sector in this country, MSMEs are accepted as engine of growth and backbone of economy worldwide. In our country also MSMEs play very important role in economic development, Vidarbha is rich with natural mineral resources and hence have high potential for the development of MSME sector.
The Ministry of MSME has successfully developed clusters in Nagpur for Readymade garments, Dal mills and Rice mills. Around 10 clusters are being conceptualized for development in Vidarbha. The cluster scheme of the ministry has been revised and the service sector is also included in this scheme as a result the MSME-DI Nagpur has initiated the development of clusters for Legal service enterprises, Chartered Accountant Services, Tourism Services, Medical services etc. These service enterprises have high potential for growth and their capacity building is possible with cluster development scheme of Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India.
