Delhi, 4 December (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Maharashtra on December 4, where he will embark on a series of important events. The highlight of his visit will be the unveiling of the statue of the legendary Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji at the Rajkot Fort in Sindhudurg.
This will be followed by his participation in the ‘Navy Day 2023’ celebrations at Sindhudurg, where he will witness operational demonstrations by Indian Navy ships, submarines, aircraft, and special forces at Tarkarli beach.
This event holds special significance as it pays tribute to the rich maritime heritage of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, whose legacy continues to inspire the Indian Navy. The occasion also marks the inclusion of Shivaji Maharaj’s seal in the new naval ensign, which was adopted last year during the commissioning of the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Maharashtra and his involvement in these events highlight the government’s commitment to honouring the nation’s history and promoting its strong naval prowess.
