Dantewada/Raipur, November 27 (HS): More than 50 Maoist Naxalites created a ruckus at around 1.30 am in the Bhansi asphalt plant of a private construction company (RC Nahar Company) in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh. The fuel tanks of about 16 vehicles parked here were broken. After this, the vehicles were set on fire. ASP Ramkumar Burman has reached the spot with police personnel.
According to Dantewada Police, the number of Naxalites is said to be around 50. Everyone was dressed in black. This company is widening the road between Dantewada and Bailadila. This plant of the company is one kilometre away from Bhansi police station.
Police say that Naxalites set on fire 16 vehicles, including a Hiwa, JCB, Poklane, and Paver Machine, parked at the plant. There is also information about damage to some vehicles engaged in the railway line doubling work nearby. A large number of soldiers from the Bhansi police station have reached the spot. In view of the strike by Naxalites, the operation of trains on this route is already closed.
