Vijayawada, December 14 (HS): Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced a significant enhancement in the Aarogyasri healthcare scheme, allowing cardholders to access free medical treatment worth up to Rs 25 lakh. The revised scheme is scheduled to launch on December 18, replacing the previous limit of Rs 10 lakh.

During a review meeting held at his Camp Office in Tadepalli, Chief Minister Jagan emphasized the government’s responsibility to provide health and education benefits to citizens as a fundamental right. He instructed officials to inform eligible beneficiaries about the extension, assuring them that they can receive free medical treatment for any ailment under the YSR Aarogyasri scheme, up to the increased limit of Rs 25 lakh.

Describing this decision as historic, Chief Minister Jagan urged officials to implement it with a humane approach, ensuring that eligible individuals can benefit from the expanded coverage.
